We enjoyed staying at the Taber Inn. The location is in walking distance to the Mystic Seaport and just a quick drive to the Mystic Aquarium. The place has wonderful staff. We had one of the simple rooms by the office. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels and wash clothes. We loved that we could go swimming in the pool during the morning hours and then shower and get ready for the day in the dressing room in the pool area.

The room was very nice and comfortable. We didn't have a fridge or microwave but I think some of the other rooms might-we weren't expecting that, we knew what was included in the room. The staff was excellent. Joe greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our room. He even took the time to explain everything about the Inn and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us a map and pointed out different places we might be interested in seeing. He was a wealth of knowledge. Later that evening we used the heated pool which was wonderful-we were the only ones that and it was large. It is the largest indoor pool in Mystic. The location was fabulous, close to so many things we were interested in visiting. The following morning you just had to call or text when you were ready for your breakfast and they brought it right to the room. You had the choice of coffee or juice, a pastry and fruit. It was perfect for our needs. We will definitely be staying there again in the future. Mystic, CT is the cutest little town and of course we ate at Mystic Pizza. We ate there a couple years ago and the pizza is delicious!

The staff were amazing, friendly from the moment you walk into the office. The were very knowledgeable of the area and provided recommendations for both sites to visit and restaurants to eat at.

A Hidden Gem – Exceeded All Expectations! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Taber Inn! The online pictures simply don’t do it justice—this place is a true hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like personal guests in someone’s home. The front desk staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about our stay. The accommodations were beyond impressive. Our room was spotless, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable—on par with what you’d find in a luxury hotel. Every detail, from the cozy ambiance to the pristine cleanliness, made our stay truly relaxing. One of the highlights was the morning service—fresh pastries and coffee delivered right to our room. It was such a thoughtful touch that made waking up here even more special. And the indoor pool? Absolutely perfect! It was large, warm, and immaculately maintained, making it the perfect place to unwind. I would stay here over and over again without hesitation. If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable, and truly welcoming stay, Taber Inn is the place to be!

I was greeted by the owner who was welcoming and helpful, even telling me where they go for a good dinner! The room was comfortable and clean and well provided with towels, blankets, and supplies. The room was exceptionally quiet even though it is steps from Route 1. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into providing a lovely spot for people away from home. Breakfast was also very nice and delivered to the room.

Friendly staff. The lady who showed us to our room was helpful but might have taken a few more minutes to explain the heat was controlled with the thermostat and the Air Conditioning was an independent unit. Thankfully the windows opened and had screens. When we asked about an additional luggage stand, they were able to provide one for our use. Breakfast was delivered to our room in about 10 minutes after calling. Bathroom was plenty large and had plenty of hot water. NICE. Breakfast was continental with coffee, a muffin and piece of coffee cake, 2 bananas and 2 tangerines. Silverware would have been nice or a plate to eat on instead of a baggie. Juice would have been nice for folks who don't like coffee like my husband. However, everything was fresh. Coffee was VERY strong. Needed more sweetener but not sure how to get additional after delivery of breakfast.

The little bungalows were cute and spacious. We had a 2-queen bed room with a little shared terrace out back and a king room with a front porch balcony. They were very comfortable and I loved that you were provided with coffee, danish and fruit in the morning…just ring them and they bring it quickly. It was very near downtown Mystic (1mile) and there was a little market across the street. We didn’t swim, but the indoor pool looked nice. Staff was friendly and we will definitely go back again.

when you first pull into the parking lot, you cant help but look at all beautiful landscaping that surrounds the property. The owner who I met at check-in was super friendly and very helpful with local knowledge of attractions, food, etc. The room was large and very accommodating, the jetted tub was perfect and the pool was a nice and re-freshing way to end an evening, This is a place we would 100% without hesitation come back to and enjoy again.

The inn is awesome. It is a cluster of small units rather than a large single structure that makes it quite homey. It is extremely well-kept, and the service great. Super friendly staff, large room with seating and an area to keep clothes, etc out of the main room. Text/call in the morning and complimentary fresh coffee, fruit and pastries were delivered to the room in minutes. All very good. The location is very good -- Not in the center of Mystic, but only a 10 minute walk into the thick of things. Add in the free parking and it's much better than having to deal with traffic and finding parking that costs $$. A five minute walk behind the inn leads to a beautiful little park and beach. Across the street is a great local market with sandwiches, salads, hot food, fresh coffee/espresso, baked goods... The parking was right by the room.

The property is reasonably priced (by Mystic standards), located within reasonable walking distance from the center of town, and fit my needs well. Admittedly, my high bar wasn't super high, as all I really needed was a comfortable, clean place to sleep at night. I was impressed by the owner, Tom, who provided a personal touch that's often missing from the corporate brand chain hotels that I'm more familiar with. At check in, we had a nice conversation where he freely talked about a range of topics, including his family, his employees, travel, Mystic, and places and restaurants to check out while in town.
